Regular Season Round 25: Rostock - Art.Dragons 96-92

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Rostock as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Rostock defeated 6th ranked Artland Dragons at home 96-92. Rostock players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American Trevor Lacey (188-91, college: NC State) nailed 29 points for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Chris Carter (193-92, college: Florida Tech) accounted for 13 points and 10 assists. Four Rostock players scored in double figures. Rostock's coach Dirk Bauermann allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American Gerel Simmons (188-93, college: LMU) came up with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Robert Oehle (209-88) added 25 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Artland Dragons in the defeat. Rostock have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Artland Dragons lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. Artland Dragons will play next round against strong MLP Academics Heidelberg trying to get back on the winning streak. Rostock will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule at Allmendingen.
