Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked BG Goettingen (7-14) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Skyliners (9-13) 93-89 on Sunday. American guard Matt Mobley (193-94, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 29 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Icelandic guard Jon Axel Gudmundsson (195-96, college: Davidson) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Latvian Rihards Lomazs (190-96) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and American guard Deishuan Booker (190-96, college: LBSU) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BG Goettingen's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Skyliners moved-up to ninth place. Loser BG Goettingen keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Skyliners will face 46ers (#17) in Giessen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BG Goettingen will play on the road against the league's second-placed ALBA Berlin having rather not much hope for a victory.
