Regular Season Round 8: Gaziantep - Anadolu Efes 62-69

An interesting game for Anadolu Efes (5-0) which played road game in Gaziantep against 3rd ranked Gaziantep (3-2). Top-ranked Anadolu Efes managed to get a 7-point victory 69-62. Anadolu Efes forced 21 Gaziantep turnovers. Guard Enes Bayraktar (186-2) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Yusuf Akbiyik (-3) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Koray Cekici (-2) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Mehmet Huyuk (-3) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Gaziantep. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record, which they share with Tofas. Gaziantep at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Anadolu Efes is looking forward to face Ozel Gelisim Koleji (#6) in Izmir in the next round where they are favorite. Gaziantep will play on the road against Besiktas in Istanbul and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
