Very predictable result when fourth ranked Schwenningen (13-9) beat on the road bottom-ranked Nuernberg (2-17) 88-70 on Wednesday. Schwenningen made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Courtney Stockard (196-95, college: St.Bonaventure) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Swedish Felix Edwardsson (206-99) chipped in 22 points. Four Schwenningen players scored in double figures. Sebastian Schroeder (195-88) produced 15 points and Hungarian point guard Marcell Pongo (194-97, agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points and 9 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Schwenningen went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Bayer Giants. Nuernberg lost fifteenth consecutive game.
