Regular Season Round 25: Tofas - Besiktas 89-86

The most exciting game of round 25 in the BSL took place in Bursa. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Besiktas (13-11) to fifth ranked Tofas (14-10) 89-86 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Besiktas. Tofas made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. British-American guard Tarik Phillip (191-93, college: WVU) fired 20 points, 8 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Croatian forward Tomislav Zubcic (211-90) chipped in 26 points. International power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds and international Sehmus Hazer (190-99) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Tofas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Turk Telekom. Besiktas at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Darussafaka. Tofas is looking forward to face Fethiye (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Besiktas' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Dacka.
