Important game to mention about took place in Stahnsdorf. Eighth ranked TKS 49ers (10-10) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Muenster (14-8) 87-85 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Strangely Muenster outrebounded TKS 49ers 31-19 including a 22-6 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American Malik Toppin (203-97, college: Salem) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Sebastian Fuelle (192-92) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. Toppin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Jan Koenig (201-93) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Marck Coffin (193-91, college: Idaho Coll.) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Muenster players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. TKS 49ers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position in North with 10-10 record. Muenster at the other side dropped to the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Itzehoe.
