No shocking result in a game in Ankara where fifth ranked Turk Telekom (14-10) defeated 14th ranked Galatasaray (7-17) 81-77 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Canadian power forward Kyle Wiltjer (208-92, college: Gonzaga) fired 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Sam Dekker (204-94, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Ayberk Olmaz (210-96) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Travis Trice II (183-93, college: Michigan St.) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Turk Telekom moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tofas. Galatasaray lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Turk Telekom's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena OGM Orman.
