There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Rivne (12-16) crushed at home 3rd placed Chaika (14-14) 83-58 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Rivne led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Chaika's 26. They outrebounded Chaika 38-19 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Rivne especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. It was a good game for forward Anastasiia Kucheronok (175-2) who led her team to a victory with 26 points. The former international guard Viktoria Shmatova (172-87, agency: BIG) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Rivne's coach Valeriy Zhartun felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International guard Olha Sivakova (167-92) answered with 17 points and international power forward Olena Boiko (190-97) added 16 points in the effort for Chaika. Rivne have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Frankivsk. Chaika lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 14 games lost.
