There was no surprise when 8th ranked Turk Telekom (1-3) was defeated on the road by third ranked Tesvikiye (3-1) 81-66. Tesvikiye dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom's 24. Tesvikiye forced 25 Turk Telekom turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Utku Pelit (-3) notched 19 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Kutay Gocen (199-2) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Even 28 points by point guard Batuhan Acar (-2) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. Ahmet Gunes (-4) added 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tesvikiye have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 3-1 record behind leader Anadolu Efes. Turk Telekom lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with three games lost. Tesvikiye's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Fenerbahce in Istanbul and it will be for sure the game of the week. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Bursaspor (#4) and hope to win that game.
