The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Sportist Svoge as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sportist Svoge smashed 8th ranked CSKA at home 80-56. Sportist Svoge forced 19 CSKA turnovers. Strangely CSKA outrebounded Sportist Svoge 52-39 including a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Boris Matrakov (195-93) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Damyan Stoyanov (194-93, college: Maryville, MO) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Four Sportist Svoge players scored in double figures. Center Asen Popov (209-97) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and Filip Kamenov (200-95) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. CSKA's coach Teddy Bukov gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Hebar and Lokomotiv 2020. CSKA at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
