Regular Season Round 15: Prometey - Interkhim 102-73

Very predictable result when leader Prometey (26-0) rolled over 7th ranked Interkhim (7-21) in Kamianske 102-73 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Prometey. Interkhim was better in fourth quarter 31-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Prometey dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Interkhim's 26 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Prometey forced 21 Interkhim turnovers and outrebounded them 48-22 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Interkhim's players. It was a good game for international forward Uliana Datsko (182-99, agency: BIG) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. The former international swingman Viktoria Kondus (176-97, agency: BIG) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. Prometey's coach Viktoria Bolshakova felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Kateryna Tkachenko (170-4) answered with 33 points (!!!) and the former international center Yevgeniya MBaye (192-92) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Interkhim. The victory was the twenty sixth consecutive win for Prometey. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first place with 26-0 record. Interkhim lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 21 games lost. Prometey will face Dynamo-NPU (#4) in Kyiv in the next round.
