Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Istanbul: Galatasaray (#14) and Acibadem (#12). Galatasaray (8-17) won against visiting Acibadem (8-17) 101-90. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists. The other American import guard Jordan Crawford (193-88, college: Xavier) contributed with 23 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American forward Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M, agency: Network Sports International) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Acibadem. Five Galatasaray and four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Galatasaray moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Buyukcekmece and Bahcesehir. Acibadem lost fourth consecutive game. Galatasaray will face Buyukcekmece (#14) on the road in the next round.
