Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Hamburg Towers (13-9) won against on the road 11th ranked Braunschweig (8-14) 74-63 on Saturday. It was a good game for Estonian forward Maik-Kalev Kotsar (211-96, college: S.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Naturalized American center Gavin Schilling (206-95, college: Michigan St.) replied with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Czech center Martin Peterka (205-95) added 13 points in the effort for Braunschweig. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamburg Towers have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Hamburg Towers maintains seventh position with 13-9 record. Loser Braunschweig keeps the eleventh place with 14 games lost. Hamburg Towers will face higher ranked Bayern Muenchen (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
