No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Schwenningen (14-9) beat 13th ranked Walter Tigers (7-17) in Tuebingen 77-66 on Saturday. Schwenningen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American forward Courtney Stockard (196-95, college: St.Bonaventure) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Lithuanian Rytis Pipiras (201-95) contributed with 10 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Schwenningen players scored in double figures. Schwenningen's coach Alen Velcic used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Finnish Elias Valtonen (199-99, college: Arizona St., agency: Blacktop Management) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Daniel Keppeler (203-97, college: Regnitztal) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Walter Tigers. Schwenningen moved-up to fifth place. Walter Tigers lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Schwenningen will face league's leader Rostock on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
