A very interesting game took place in Duzce. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Mersin Univ. (8-12) to tenth ranked Duzce Bld (8-11) 63-61 in the game for the eighth place. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Cansu Cankurt (170-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 assists. American forward Lydia Rivers (188-97, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Duzce Bld players scored in double figures. American forward Caliya Robinson (190-97, college: Georgia) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Fahriye Bayraktar (185-95) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Mersin Univ.Duzce Bld moved-up to eighth place. Mersin Univ. at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Duzce Bld's next round opponent will be higher ranked Antalya 07 (#3) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Mersin Univ. will play against Karsiyaka (#13) and hope to win that game.
