Regular Season Round 22: Svendborg - Amager 112-47

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Amager's (1-20) road loss to fourth ranked Svendborg (16-9) 47-112 on Monday. The game without a history. Svendborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Amager's 26. Svendborg forced 27 Amager turnovers and outrebounded them 57-40 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American power forward Durell Vinson (202-85, college: Wagner) fired 8 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Richard Granberry (203-93, college: Virginia St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Svendborg players scored in double figures. Forward Magnus Bjornaa (194-96, college: Potomac St.) produced 5 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Aske Boelt-Pedersen (193-97) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Svendborg moved-up to third place. Amager lost fifteenth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 20 games lost. Svendborg will face league's leader Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amager will play at home against Naestved (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
