There was no surprise in Adana where 15th ranked Ceyhan (4-17) was crushed by second ranked Emlak Konut (17-3) 82-47. Emlak Konut dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ceyhan's 24. Emlak Konut forced 23 Ceyhan turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Ceyhan's players. American-Lebanese center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Nihal Gungor (-90) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Halime Vural (-98) answered with 9 points and 10 rebounds and Aleyna Baday (185-0) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Ceyhan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Emlak Konut maintains second place with 17-3 record having four points less than leader Bursa. Ceyhan lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Istanbul Univ.. Emlak Konut will play against Yalova Vip (#5) at home in the next round. Ceyhan will play against Botas (#11) in Ankara and hopes to get back on the winning track.
