An interesting game for Montana 2003 (5-0) which hosted in Montana 3rd placed Slavia (0-6). Leader Montana 2003 had an easy win 105-56. Montana 2003 dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Slavia's 34. They outrebounded Slavia 45-19 including a 34-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Montana 2003 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Slavia's players. It was an exceptional evening for international swingman Debora Filipova (173-97) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American power forward Sherise Williams (191-93, college: MSU) accounted for 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Montana 2003 players scored in double figures. The former international guard Veronika Djikova (179-90) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and center Elena Dimova (190-0) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Slavia in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Montana 2003. Newly promoted Montana 2003 maintains first place with 5-0 record. Slavia lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Montana 2003 will meet at home league's second-placed Beroe in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slavia will play against the league's second-placed Beroe in Stara Zagora and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
