Regular Season Round 27: Pinar Karsiyaka - Bursaspor 84-85

The most exciting game of round 27 in the BSL took place in Karsiyaka. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-best Pinar Karsiyaka (20-6) to tenth ranked Bursaspor (11-15) 85-84 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Bursaspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Canadian Marial Shayok (196-95, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). The former international center Oguz Savas (213-87) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) with 23 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and international forward Metecan Birsen (208-95) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Bursaspor and four Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. Bursaspor have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Bursaspor maintains tenth place with 11-15 record. Pinar Karsiyaka at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with Fenerbahce.
