Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Buyukcekmece and 14th ranked Galatasaray had identical 8-17 record. This time Buyukcekmece used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Istanbul 105-101 on Sunday night. Buyukcekmece made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: RMU) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Point guard Matt Farrell (185-96, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 24 points and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) who recorded 29 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Amile Jefferson (206-93, college: Duke) added 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) respectively. Four Buyukcekmece and five Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Galatasaray's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Buyukcekmece (9-17) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Petkim and Bahcesehir. Loser Galatasaray keeps the fourteenth position with 18 games lost.
