Regular Season Round 25: Ludwigsburg - Bayreuth 97-92

BBL top team - EnBW Ludwigsburg (23-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Bayreuth (10-15) 97-92. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bayreuth. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Cuban swingman Yorman Polas Bartolo (191-85) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: UNH) contributed with 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach John Patrick allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Frank Bartley IV (190-94, college: La-Lafayette, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 31 points (made all of his eight free throws) and the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-89) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Bayreuth. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for EnBW Ludwigsburg. They maintain first place with 23-2 record. Bayreuth at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg's next round opponent will be BG Goettingen (#12) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Bayreuth will play against Rasta Vechta and hope to win that game.
