Regular Season Round 23: Wolfpack - Randers 109-106 OT

Randers (#3) forced the game against Wolfpack (#2) into an overtime, but lost by three points 106-109 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Randers. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Randers won third quarter 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Randers used huge pressure winning it 26-20 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 13-16. Wolfpack looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Randers' players. The former international point guard August Haas (188-97, college: St.Edward's) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 12 assists and 4 steals. Andreas Meilby (201-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. French center Jonathan Jeanne (218-97, agency: Slash Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Brantley Bynum (196-94, college: SF State) added 24 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Randers. Four Randers players scored in double figures. Randers' coach Char Burgess rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wolfpack maintains second place with 9-13 record having eighteen points less than leader Vaerlose. Randers at the other side keep the third position with ten games lost.
