Regular Season Round 25: Duzce - Ankara Basket 96-80

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Duzce Belediye (13-11) beat at home 15th ranked Ankara Basket (6-18) 96-80 on Saturday. Duzce Belediye dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ankara Basket's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists. American-Jamaican forward Joel James (208-94, college: UNC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Four Duzce Belediye players scored in double figures. Guard Ogulcan Sevim (190-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 assists and American Evan Fitzner (208-96, college: Indiana, agency: GoEmpire Group) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ankara Basket. Ankara Basket's coach Hakan Koktas let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Duzce Belediye maintains ninth place with 13-11 record. Ankara Basket lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Duzce Belediye will face Gemlik (#14) in Bursa in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ankara Basket will play at home against Manisa and hope to win that game.
