An interesting game for Rilski (19-2) which hosted in Samokov 3rd ranked Balkan (15-5). First ranked Rilski managed to get a 5-point victory 82-77. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Balkan. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Pavlin Ivanov (195-93, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Chilean-American power forward Nicolas Carvacho (211-97, college: Colorado St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Rilski's coach Ludmil Hadjisotirov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Siyani Chambers (183-93, college: Harvard) replied with 16 points and 6 assists and the former international guard Bozhidar Avramov (196-90, agency: 011 Sports) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Balkan. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rilski have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-2 record. Defending champion Balkan keeps the third place with five games lost. Rilski will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Balkan will play on the road against the league's second-placed Levski Lukoil in Sofia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
