Very expected game when 10th ranked Nevezis (7-20) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Prienai CBet (11-16) 97-70 on Monday. The game without a history. Prienai CBet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Prienai CBet forced 19 Nevezis turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Belgian point guard Emmanuel Lecomte (180-95, college: Baylor) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 7 assists. Mindaugas Susinskas (204-95) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Julius Kazakauskas (196-90) replied with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Sedrick Barefield (188-96, college: Utah, agency: Wasserman) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Nevezis. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prienai CBet moved-up to fifth place, which they share with P.Zvaigzdes. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Prienai CBet will face higher ranked Lietkabelis (#3) in Panevezys in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nevezis will play at home against Neptunas (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
