Regular Season Round 32: Budivelnyk - Ternopil-TNEU 92-69

The most important game in the last round took place in Kyiv between third ranked Ternopil-TNEU (21-12) and sixth ranked Budivelnyk (16-15) on Wednesday night. Ternopil-TNEU was crushed by Budivelnyk on the road 69-92. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ternopil-TNEU. The game without a history. Budivelnyk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. American forward Kyvon Davenport (203-97, college: Memphis) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import forward Brice Johnson (206-94, college: UNC) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. The former international Andriy Agafonov (208-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Omar Calhoun (198-93, college: UConn, agency: Players Group) added 15 points in the effort for Ternopil-TNEU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Budivelnyk maintains sixth position with 16-15 record, which they share with Khimik. Newly promoted Ternopil-TNEU keeps the third place with 12 games lost. Budivelnyk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ternopil-TNEU will play at home against Mykolaiv and is hoping to win this game.
