Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Science City Jena (17-6) won against at home 7th ranked Artland Dragons (14-13) 97-93. Science City Jena dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Artland Dragons' 34. The best player for the winners was American guard Marcus Tyus (185-94, college: Omaha) who scored 24 points. The other American import point guard Zamal Nixon (185-89, college: Houston) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Jacob Knauf (210-97) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (195-1) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Science City Jena have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 17-6 record. Artland Dragons at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost.
