Regular Season Round 27: Bayreuth - Bamberg 88-97
Date: April 10, 2021
There was no surprise when 10th ranked Bayreuth (11-17) lost at home to eighth ranked Brose Bamberg (14-12) 97-88 on Saturday. Brose Bamberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American center David Kravish (208-92, college: California) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). International Christian Sengfelder (203-95, college: Boise St.) contributed with 16 points for the winners. The former international point guard Bastian Doreth (183-89) answered with 22 points and 4 assists and American guard Frank Bartley IV (190-94, college: La-Lafayette, agency: BeoBasket) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Bayreuth. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Bamberg maintains eighth place with 14-12 record. Loser Bayreuth keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. Brose Bamberg will face bottom-ranked Rasta Vechta (#18) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayreuth will play against ratiopharm Ulm (#7) and hope to win that game.
