2.Bundesliga top team - Wuerzburg (14-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Heidelberg 2 (6-8) 67-55. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Heidelberg 2. Wuerzburg made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Katlyn Yohn (182-91, college: Bradley) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Paige Bradley (175-94, college: Denver) supported her with 20 points and 6 assists. Even 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by power forward Anna Meusel (178-89) did not help to save the game for Heidelberg 2. Guard Eleah Steins (170-2) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Heidelberg 2's coach Sebastian Norber rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wuerzburg have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 14-0 record. Newly promoted Heidelberg 2 dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Wuerzburg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Heidelberg 2 will play against Rhein Main Baskets (#4) in Langen and hope to secure a win.
