Regular Season Round 26: Constanta - Oradea 78-93

Very expected game when 13th ranked Constanta (2-20) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Oradea (14-5) 93-78. It looked good early as Constanta took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Oradea had a 26-19 second period charge getting the lead and Constanta was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-93. Oradea made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Constanta turnovers. American guard Aaron Broussard (196-90, college: Seattle) notched 19 points to lead the effort and Serbian power forward Dragan Zekovic (210-87, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 19 points. Oradea's coach Cristian Achim used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 19 points and 5 assists by American guard Siler Schneider (190-95, college: UC Davis, agency: One Motive Sports) did not help to save the game for Constanta. Power forward Mario Lazar (203-94) added 15 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Oradea have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Constanta lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Oradea will play against Focsani (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Constanta will play against Targu Jiu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
