An interesting game took place in Izmit where higher ranked Kagitspor (14-11) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Yalova (12-11) 75-60. Yalova dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kagitspor's 32. American point guard Lamont Jones (183-90, college: Iona) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Melih Kapucu (204-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners.
