NBL top team - Rilski (22-2) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Spartak Pleven (4-20) 96-67. Rilski made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Rilski had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Chilean-American power forward Nicolas Carvacho (211-97, college: Colorado St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side and American forward Trey Porter (208-96, college: Nevada) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Rilski players scored in double figures. Swingman Ivko Ivkov (196-95, agency: BIG) came up with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-90) added 18 points respectively for Spartak Pleven in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Rilski. They maintain first place with 22-2 record. Spartak Pleven lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 20 games lost.
