There was an upset in Bursa where higher ranked Duzce Belediye (13-13) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Gemlik (10-17) 81-75 on Thursday. Gemlik forced 19 Duzce Belediye turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Emre Tanisan (206-99) scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Maurice Watson (178-93, college: Creighton) chipped in 15 points and 12 assists during the contest. Gemlik's coach Fatih Elbas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and center Cem Coskun (209-87) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Gemlik have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Duzce Belediye keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost.
