Regular Season Round 8: Vilniaus KM I - Tornado KM 103-59

U18 League top team - Vilniaus KM I (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Tornado KM (2-5) 103-59. The game without a history. Vilniaus KM I led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Tornado KM's 30. Vilniaus KM I forced 22 Tornado KM turnovers and outrebounded them 50-35 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vilniaus KM I looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Tornado KM's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vilniaus KM I made 9 blocks. Forward Regimantas Ciunys (191-3) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Vincentas Adomaitis (194-3) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Vilniaus KM I players scored in double figures. Guard Rokas Mankus (182-3) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and guard Benas Alisauskas (173-3) added 12 points in the effort for Tornado KM. Tornado KM's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Vilniaus KM I have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Tornado KM lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. Vilniaus KM I are looking forward to face Zalgiris (#4) in Kaunas in the next round. Tornado KM will have a break next round.
