Sheldon Eberhardt (196-95, college: Elon) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five Bayer Giants players scored in double figures. Bayer Giants' coach Hansi Gnad used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American Gerel Simmons (188-93, college: LMU) answered with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Robert Oehle (209-88) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Artland Dragons. Bayer Giants' next round opponent will be Science City Jena at home and it will be for sure the game of the week.
