An interesting game took place in Fethiye where 12th ranked Buyukcekmece (10-18) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Fethiye (8-21) 83-70 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Buyukcekmece. Fethiye looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Buyukcekmece's players. American forward Darion Atkins (203-92, college: Virginia) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Robert Johnson (190-95, college: Indiana) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Enes Taskiran (190-97) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Mert Celep (206-95) scored 4 points and 12 rebounds. Buyukcekmece's coach Ozhan Civgin rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Fethiye maintains fifteenth position with 8-21 record. Buyukcekmece at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Bahcesehir. Fethiye will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Buyukcekmece will play at home against Besiktas (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
