2.Bundesliga top team - Wuerzburg (17-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (5-10) 72-40. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ASC Theresianum Mainz. Wuerzburg dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to ASC Theresianum Mainz's 32. Wuerzburg forced 24 ASC Theresianum Mainz turnovers and outrebounded them 57-37 including a 26-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lisa Bertholdt nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Theresa Muck accounted for 6 points and 15 rebounds. Wuerzburg's coach Thomas Glasauer felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Alina Doetsch (170-99) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Bulgarian Antonia Filipova (180-98) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for ASC Theresianum Mainz in the defeat. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Wuerzburg. They maintain first place in South with 17-0 record. ASC Theresianum Mainz at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Wuerzburg will play against Ludwigsburg (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ASC Theresianum Mainz will play against Schwabach and hopes to get back on the winning track.
