Very expected game when 8th ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (5-6) was defeated on the road by third ranked Braunschweig (11-6) 61-53. Braunschweig outrebounded ChemCats Chemnitz 44-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Power forward Merit Brennecke (188-0) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Sydney Kopp (170, college: DePauw) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international Lucile Peroche (174-98) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Czech center Tereza Kracikova (188-96, college: Drexel) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for ChemCats Chemnitz. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Braunschweig maintains third place in North with 11-6 record having six points less than leader Wuerzburg.
