Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Socar Petkim (9-19) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Turk Telekom (17-12) 71-65 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Nick Johnson (191-92, college: Arizona) who scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Sam Dekker (204-94, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 17 points. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Kendrick Ray (188-94, college: KSU) who recorded 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and international center Ege Arar (208-96) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Socar Petkim's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Turk Telekom moved-up to fifth place. Socar Petkim lost sixth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Turk Telekom will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Socar Petkim will play against Dacka (#7) in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
