Steaua B. (#9) forced the game against Craiova (#7) into an overtime, but lost by seven points 78-85. The game took place in Bucuresti. But the guests from Craiova were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Steaua B.. It looked good early as Steaua B. took a 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. Four Craiova players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Maurice Creek (196-90, college: GWU, agency: BIG) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian center Ivan Vranes (207-96, agency: Interperformances) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Craiova (12-6) moved-up to sixth place. Steaua B. at the other side keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Craiova will play against Dinamo B. (#8) in Bucuresti in the next round. Steaua B. will play at home against the league's second-placed Sibiu and hopes to get back on the winning track.
