Very expected game when 13th ranked Buyukcekmece (10-20) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Besiktas (17-11) 104-89. Besiktas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Buyukcekmece's 26 and made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Buyukcekmece 39-21 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Besiktas players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). International Sehmus Hazer (190-99) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. American swingman Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Enes Taskiran (190-97) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Buyukcekmece. Buyukcekmece's coach Ozhan Civgin rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Besiktas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Buyukcekmece lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Besiktas will play against Afyon Bld (#10) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Buyukcekmece will have a break next round.
