We should mention about the upset which took place in Yalova, where 6th ranked Balikesir (15-12) lost to ninth ranked Yalova (14-11) in a road game 62-72. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Lamont Jones (183-90, college: Iona) who led the winners and scored 25 points. Power forward Melih Kapucu (204-90) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: TAMUCC, agency: BIG) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Tugberk Gedikli (192-91) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Balikesir in the defeat. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. Balikesir's coach Mustafa Mavili rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Yalova. They moved-up to eighth place. Balikesir lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost.
