The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Artland Dragons (0-1) on the court of Science City Jena on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Science City Jena 84-81. It was a good game for center Robin Lodders (206-94) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. American point guard Zamal Nixon (185-89, college: Houston) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Science City Jena's coach Frank Menz used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (195-1) answered with 22 points and center Robert Oehle (209-88) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Artland Dragons. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Science City Jena are again looking forward to face Artland Dragons (#4) in Quakenbrueck in the next round. Artland Dragons will have a break next round.
