The game between fifth ranked Zaporizhye (23-14) and 10th ranked K.Sokoly (8-27) in Zaporozhye on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Zaporizhye outscored guests from Kharkiv 102-79. The game was mostly controlled by Zaporizhye. K.Sokoly managed to win second period 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded K.Sokoly 39-23 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Zaporizhye looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Four Zaporizhye players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 6 assists by the former international point guard Igor Boyarkin (182-95, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for K.Sokoly. American point guard Dajuan Graf (185-92, college: NCCU) added 15 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zaporizhye have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 23-14 record. K.Sokoly lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 27 games lost. Zaporizhye will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. K.Sokoly will play against Budivelnyk (#6) and hope to secure a win.
