BBL top team - EnBW Ludwigsburg (27-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventeenth ranked 46ers (6-24) in Giessen 89-80. American players dominated the game. Point guard Jaleen Smith (193-94, college: UNH) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and center Jamel McLean (202-88, college: Xavier) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even 22 points and 7 assists by guard Diante Garrett (193-88, college: Iowa St., agency: Wasserman) did not help to save the game for 46ers. Center John Bryant (211-87, college: Santa Clara) added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg and four 46ers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 27-2 record. 46ers lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 24 games lost.
