Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Braunschweig and 11th ranked Bayreuth had identical 11-18 record. But Bayreuth was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Braunschweig 77-64. 24 personal fouls committed by Bayreuth helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
