Regular Season Round 28: Final Spor - Denizli 66-77

TBL top team - Merkezefendi (20-8) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Final Spor (9-18) in Bursa 77-66. Final Spor was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Mustafa Kurtuldum (196-1) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and Baris Ozkan (-94) who added 14 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Gurur Baybora (195-90) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Terrell Allen (190-97, college: Georgetown) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Merkezefendi have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Newly promoted Merkezefendi maintains first position with 20-8 record. Final Spor lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. Merkezefendi will play against bottom-ranked Istanbul (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Final Spor will play against Akhisar Bld and hopes to get back on the winning track.
