A very interesting game took place in Duzce. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 11th ranked Duzce Belediye (13-14) to twelfth ranked Sigortam.net (14-14) 62-60 on Sunday evening. Sigortam.net made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Strangely Duzce Belediye outrebounded Sigortam.net 48-30 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Duzce Belediye helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Derrick Wilson (185-92, college: Marquette, agency: Network Sports International) fired 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import swingman Brayon Blake (201-95, college: Idaho) chipped in 7 points and 10 rebounds. Sigortam.net's coach Andac Yapicier allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American-Jamaican forward Joel James (208-94, college: UNC) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) added 10 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Sigortam.net have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bornova. Duzce Belediye lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Sigortam.net's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mamak (#5) in Ankara and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Duzce Belediye will play on the road against Yalova (#6) and hope to win that game.
