Regular Season Round 39: Prometey - Mykolaiv 111-90

Very expected game in Kamianske where 11th ranked Mykolaiv (6-32) was crushed by fourth ranked Prometey (24-12) 111-90 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Prometey. Mykolaiv managed to win fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Prometey shot 61.1 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. Prometey looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was American Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) who scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Viacheslav Petrov (204-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Prometey's coach Ronen Ginzburg felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Darnell Edge (188-97, college: FDU) who recorded 22 points and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Derrick Colter (180-94, college: Duquesne, agency: Players Group) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively. Four Prometey and five Mykolaiv players scored in double figures. Prometey moved-up to third place. Mykolaiv lost their seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 32 lost games. Prometey will meet at home league's second-placed Dnipro in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mykolaiv will play against Cherkasy (#8) and hope to secure a win.
