Regular Season Round 32: Lietkabelis - Juventus 98-86

An interesting game for Lietkabelis (21-11) which hosted in Panevezys one of their biggest challengers Juventus (20-13). Third ranked Lietkabelis managed to get a 12-point victory 98-86. The game was mostly controlled by Lietkabelis. Juventus managed to win second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lietkabelis forced 20 Juventus turnovers. Strangely Juventus outrebounded Lietkabelis 36-20 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Lietkabelis looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Puerto Rican-American guard Kyle Vinales (185-92, college: CCSU, agency: Network Sports International) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 assists. International guard Paulius Valinskas (191-95) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-91, agency: BIG) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Zygimantas Skucas (201-92, agency: BIG) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Juventus. Five Lietkabelis and four Juventus players scored in double figures. Lietkabelis maintains third position with 21-11 record having eight points less than leader Zalgiris. Juventus lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. Lietkabelis are looking forward to face Neptunas (#7) in Klaipeda in the next round. Juventus will play at home against Dzukija and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
